The Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL) is designed to accelerate the integration of digital technologies into businesses, public services, and everyday life. It aims to tackle challenges in digital infrastructure and technology by financing projects in six critical areas: supercomputing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced digital skills, and the broad adoption of digital technologies across the economy and society. Additionally, the Chips Act added advancing Europe's leadership in semiconductor technologies and applications as a new critical area of DIGITAL.
DIGITAL also finances many impactful initiatives, including 151 European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs), which help organisations adopt digital technologies by offering expertise, facilities, and support, boosting their competitiveness.
